The impact of the Jane Matovu Foundation is measured not only by the number of children who enter school, but by the wider transformation that education can create in families and communities. Even before the Foundation was formally established, sustained educational support helped several young people continue their studies, complete university training, and move into professional careers. These individual journeys show how timely support can protect talent that might otherwise be lost to poverty.
Our work with families extends that impact beyond the classroom. By supporting income-generating activities and encouraging families to contribute progressively to school requirements, the Foundation seeks to make education more sustainable and reduce long-term dependency. Stronger households are better able to keep children in school, respond to emergencies, and plan for the future.
